June 2012

Grandma came back to help with our girls while I went to girls camp.  Mikayla was acting sooo goofy one night!

caught in the act!  I was trying to figure out why even though no one was sick we kept going through tissues like crazy! Marissa had been hiding them behind the couch!

Marissa really walking a bunch!

Mikayla had her last dance performance for the year.  She looked so grown-up and so pretty.  She did such a good job too!

Not sure where she learned to cross her eyes!

My girls love their Daddy!  Happy "Favers Day" Daddy!

Mikayla wanted to take a picture at her show-off meet with her favorite coach!

Mikayla in her last "tiny tops" performance!

Marissa loved wearing this dress (it was the first dress she was able to wear that was actually her age and size so cute! and yes it was huge on her!)

The rest of May as it came...

Uncle Ryan came to visit and celebrate Mikayla's Birthday!

This is a rare occurance where Marissa actually fell asleep in the stroller- after a long fun day at the zoo!

Mikayla loves dressing for the weather!  And she also had fun at the zoo with Uncle Ryan!

Playing lots of fun tickling games!

On her birthday she wanted to dress herself for school!  This is one of the last days at school.  She was so proud of her outfit!

Happy Mothers Day Mommy!  our tulips and bulbs are in full bloom and my girls looked so pretty and happy!

WE attended a wedding reception at the State Capital.  and Yes I did match my family and yes we took advantage of a picture taking opportunity.  (And yes someone had the nerve to ask if we purposely dress to coordinate-  um  hello,  of course I did! and of course I will for as long as my kids let me!!!!)

Trying to take a nice picture might be a little easier said than done!

Such a cute little picture even if one is getting ready to cry!

Marissa loved the music.  I couldn't help but take this picture of her after she had been staring at the bride is awe!

Grandma Barby and Papa Tom Came to visit too!  They were here for Mikayla's preschool graduation and the big party bash!

Some how my Daddio and husband sneaked off and grabbed these yummy ice cream cupcakes for a special Birthday treat.  Should I mention I may have turned a year older this month too :-)

My favorite trick- and treat is the cowboy candy mix my dad always seems to pick up when he is here!  Yes he is where I got my goofy side from!

After all the spoiling my parents did for our family they still seemed to sneak in a special gift for each of my girls!  WE had a wonderful visit with them!

Mikayla was so happy Summer (her best friend) could be at her party!

This is just a small picture of how crazy it was with the amount of kids my little girl had at her "friends" party

The three Birthday girls!

Mikayla loves her first neice and was so happy Sam and Sophie could be at her family party!

Yes we are excited to go to church!  not so sure this picture really shows it but my girls looked cute!

The big ONE Birthday Girl

My Second May birthday girl!
I can still remember how excited Mikayla was to find out she was having a little sister!  She told me that she already knew it!  She has  loved almost every second of being a big sister to this sweet girl Marissa!  I had a much more pleasant experience with the birth of Marissa and she was so loud the second she was born that I knew she was healthy!  I was so happy and lucky to become a Mommy to another sweet girl!  She stayed as calm as a mouse the entire hospital say-  Then we came home and parenting began!  I am thankful for modern medicine that has helped her through this re flux issue she has had!  and She has become such a character and  Full of life!  wants to make everyone smile or laugh.  She lights up the room when she walks in!  I have forgot to mention she is so tiny!  She is in the 5 percentile for almost everything except her head!  I love her being so little but it has been a bit of a challenge when it comes to passing down clothing! Lucky once again to have a healthy baby girl and she has grown up so fast- much faster when you want to be like big sister!  Happy first year my sweet Marissa! WE are so lucky to be your family!

Favorite time of the day is taking baths with sister!  She loves to help drain the water and from the first time  she stood up in the bath I have been telling her "sit on your bummy" and she splashes back down!
She hadn't seen Ryan for almost 8 months and the minute she was around her Uncle she was so smiley!

Smiley girl!

She loves getting into the Tupperware and kids plates area!  I have tried every lock there is and still she some how knows when they aren't being utilized!

She started walking right around her birthday!  She is wearing a 6 month dress in this picture!  (And yes she is this smiley most of the time!)

She wants to be just like her big sister!  and yes she begs to wear EVERYTHING that sister doesn't put away!

5 years old and a party for 25

5 Year Party and my very Happy Birthday Girl!
5 years ago I remember realizing I was having my sweet baby girl 5 weeks early!  I couldn't wrap my mind around how I would really feel seeing my baby girl for the first time and I don't think there are words still today to describe it!   There  was a sense of panic at first because she was blue...but after getting all the gunk out and color back I held her sweetly for the first time!  I remember calming her tiny screams immediately just by saying hi to her!  I don't regret a single moment of holding her and enjoying her sweet little baby smell!  All the sleepless nights (and still counting) are completely forgotten when I see her smile and laugh!  I love how much she has grown.  I am sad she isn't a baby but also excited at how many things she has learned and achieved already!  I love you sweet girl and am so lucky to be your mommy!  Happy 5 years old!
5 years old and acts like she is 10!
This is the start of the decorations for the girls party!  Rapunzel themed!
Rapunzel everywhere!

Don't ask how we got the balloons and streamers that high...lets just say it was a little tricky!

My mom made these cute penant signs from her scrapbooking paper and they turned out so pretty!
Complete with a tower and river!  Cake for all!

The biggest surprise was this when Mikayla woke up!  The best present we have bought our girls! they have had so much fun on the trampoline!

Pin the frying pan on Flynn!

Blow out the candles

After all of this... she was sooo tired she fell asleep with her new little tea cup piggy!

She is so funny and loves making funny faces!

My sweet girls-  they looked so cute and pretty!

my goof ball!  here is to another year and another round of adventuring in mommy-hood!
