April 2012

April 2012
"Mom its Easter Month"-   Mikayla

Papa sent some cute bunnies for the girls and of course Mikayla wanted everyone of them!  but she was so sweet and shared with Marissa her favorite one.  When I asked her why she gave her that particular bunny she said "Mom she pointed to it and its her first Easter so I think she really needs something special" followed by huge alligator tears!  What a sweet girl!

Marissa was sure interested in these eggs-  especially since she realized there was something inside!

Marissa's two favorite things-- Her "puppylue" and her "snuggy" blanket- and yes I named both for her :-)

When your 5 year old is quiet what do you think you will find? of course =why not a girl in a walker!  she was so stinking funny in it- especially since she still met the weight requirements and she was stuck in it!  I had to take a picture before helping this one out!

I rarely remember to take pictures in the bath- and yes this is one of their favorite times of the day!  This was their first "bubble" bath so I had Jonathan watch them while I grabbed the camera!

Marissa discovered her reflection in the tub and couldn't stop looking at it-  So funny!

Yes Mom I can stand, and weasel out of out my high chair straps!  And yes mom I WILL NOT wear a bib anymore!  (Yes she is set in her own sweet mind!)

I started having her just in a diaper since she loves food, loves making a mess and won't wear a bib without it looking like she is choking herself!  So when she pulled up this time- there had to be a blackmail picture.  Say no to "cack"!
Marissa's first Zoo Merry-go-round ride- and she LOVED it!  she was so happy the whole time!
Eggs-  I was told my her DR to try giving eggs to my kids as a first table food instead of waiting till a year or two like the older recommendations.  Well -she loves them!  and no allergies to them in site!

Taco tongue ...do you have one?  I don't,  and Marissa doesn't- but she is trying to show me she does- as well as all her eggies!
"I got a golden egg Mom"  And no I don't think the song is a necessary suggestion (its already implied!)

Not sure what happened with our Camera but the pictures didn't turn out so well-
here is our Annual egg hunt at Jonathan's Cousin's house!

Marissa loves Granny!

Sweet Mikayla with her spoils!

Smiley girl (just before she gave her warning screams that it was past her nap)

Daddy and Marissa with her first egg hunt spoils!

Mikayla started soccer.  She LOVED it.  And yes she didn't have a clue what she was doing, but she smiled and ran around the field biting her nails and following the heard of kids!

March 2012

March 2012...yes it finally snowed!!!!!!
Just in time to get warm we finally had a real snow-  so we made a snowman- or in our case a "snow-lady"  to celebrate!

Marissa has learned the art of paper tearing- so I let her have at this free baby magazine for about 15 minutes she had a blast!

For show and tell Mikayla insisted on bringing her dogs-  so first I convinced her Addie was a good choice (two times) but she finally really wanted this big one there!  and the kids loved her!  Corinna was very patient with all the little hands petting her (complete with a bath the day before and a bow!)

Mikayla met the Real Salt Lake Soccer Mascot at Discovery of all places.  She thought that was the coolest thing!

my happy crawling every where girl!

Yes the leprechaun trap sort of worked-  Mikayla made this at school and so we used it to try and trap those little creeps-  it didn't work but the creature did leave some chocolate coins for her!

we learned after 5 months of owning my phone that we can take silly pictures with it-  so yes Mikayla tries to sneak this every day.  But her laughs are so irresistable that I let her!
   So funny!
I finally am giving up nursing-  So this little one is having one of her first bottles.  And yes she held it all by herself!

This crazy cat was given to Mikayla as a baby- by my little bro Adam,  She still loves this thing and wanted to say Hi with it!

My cute girls!

Sunday-  Yes Mikayla picked these out and Yes it looks like thanksgiving colors but they both had a smiley happy day at church-  no complaints there!

My sweet Mikayla !

Goofy Girls

Marissa is still getting the hang of this whole 20,000 pictures thing!

"Look Dad You and Marissa Match"- Mikayla

Mikayla's first real crazy hair day-  Love her little pose!

I turned for a 10 second email check and the baby was making this weird uncomfortable noice at her highchair.  I went to check on her while she was eating some dry cereal and noticed she was soaked!  I asked Mikayla what happened and apparently she pointed to Mikayla with her gross sticky fingers and so Mikayla decided to dump her entire cup of cold water on Marissa's head!  poor girl.  When I realized what had happened I just started laughing- followed by "please don't EVER do that again!"

We thought since the flowers had bloomed early we might as well start up the sand box!  And yes it was warm enough!
And Yes Marissa ate gobbs of sad!

Mikayla even wore a tank top to celebrate the Sunny Weather-
Love this!

Some how My girls are already Ute fans!  (not sure how that happened!)  We went to a  Ute Gymnastics event and Mikayla thought that was the coolest thing ever!

Mikayla helping out with Sister!

My Daddy sent these beautiful flowers with a stuffed animal and the girls loved it!

Who says big girls don't cry?  Well this is a picture before we realized Marissa could pull herself up on her crib....now its 3 notches lower!
My sweet big girl (and yes I bought this skirt thinking it would fit her like a tutu- well she is so tiny it looks more like a prom skirt!)
Mikayla and her sweet buddies from Preschool!
No more stopping this one- she is moving now!
Mikayla had such a great idea of having a fun little Valentines party with her friends-  little did she know I can't do anything too small scale.  So this little party ended up being kind of crazy.  Hopefully she remembers this as a fun event in her life!

Sisters posing for me again!  Thanks girls I love this dress on Marissa and didn't seem to get one till now!
Mikayla picked out their church outfits!  "Look mom we are really matching today!"
WE enjoyed the sun while it was here!  even if it was a bit chilly!  Love these colors with Daddy!
